To be honest, I can’t even play the CVs since the rework (slow connection too painful with fast moving objects), so it’s not as if I really want more CVs in the game either. It’s not that I prefer any nation over another, it’s just that I feel that there have been too many Russian ships released too fast. The Russian BB line, contrary to popular belief, all existed (if merely on paper and not necessarily laid down/finished), and most definitely not WG imaginations apart from the AA suite they carry, which is tolerable.Īgain, while I know you prefer German ships (and I also wish to see a German line of CVs, too, btw), the Russians are way overhated in WOWS and I do not think they deserve the vitriol they currently get.Īgain , while I know you prefer German ships (and I also wish to see a German li ne of CVs, too, btw), the Russians are way overhated in WOWS and I do not think they deserve the vit riol they currently get. So yes, they most likely had a navy on par with the Germans (apart from battleships and CVs).Īlso, there were actual, rational CV designs they did.

To be fair the Russian navy was largely the same- mostly subs and destroyers (Leningrad-class, Tashkent, Ognevoi-class, and so many others but Gnevny was the most common) and the actual ships they had were quite various. Oh well, in any case, I’d prefer to see German CVs before Russian CVs. Mostly I’m happy to see ANY ships not belonging to Russia.Īlthough now that I think of it. Ok, they had 4 planned including the Graf Zeppelin, and the other 3 were uncompleted. I’ll bow to your superior knowledge of WW2 navies.īut still like, to see more German ships in game than Russian.Īnd at least the Germans had some CVs planned. like Panzer Vs Gunboats and Armored Trains still in use there - it unique theater its interesting Soviet Priorities to Clear mine from that number alone lolĮastern Front is not potrayed as glamourous, but it did have interesting tidbits. which cause starvation that kill approx 1,5 Million Japanese, also it basicly single handedly killed their entire war production due to lack of raw Materials. Mines and Subs end up Killing their Merchant-Cargo Fleet. Japan inner water also heavily mined but they dont even have 1/10 the number dedicated for minesweeping and sub chasing. But it mostly compromised of "River" Navies and TransportĪlso Soviet water were heavily mined, they end up with 1000 Minesweeper Vessel by the end of the war. so In a sense throught the war Soviet Navy Tonnage is always larger than Germans. from Battleship, to Merchant fleet, Transports and Auxiliaries. It may have been mostly U-boats and over engineered status symbols, but it was more than the Soviets had.īefore Hostilities break out in 1939, Soviet have 4 times more Subs than GermansĪllied also lend "Land Lease" Ships to Soviets, around 800.000 Tons. I dunno, at least the Germans HAD a navy.
